Andam na kita, andam na kita
An adlaw na guin huhulat, ti-arabot na
An aton paningkamot, an aton mga dahom
Kalamragan naton, aton higayon

Uswag. Padayon pag-uswag.

Siplat na kita, siplat na kita
Daug han at' katawhan, ipagpadig-on pa
An dalan 'tat asenso, kita nga mapabaskog
Tara batan-on! Kita katindog, guli-at hin kusog

Uswag. Padayon pag-uswag.

This song was inspired from the changes made in our hometown, when it was declared a "Highly Urbanized City."

Guli-at tikang ha kasiroman
Tangis han kabukiran
Pira pa katuig nga kakurian
Aabaton hit aton kalibutan

Guin bibiling nga himaya
Nawawara. Hain na?
Bisan samad ha katunaan
Di na naton makikit-an?

Kitaa an sirak han adlaw. (Uwa-hi-ye! Uwa-hi-ye!)
Natak-upan han karat-an (Uwa-hi-ye! Uwa-hi-ye!)
Abata an kusog han uran (Uwa-hi-ye! Uwa-hi-ye!)
Bati-a an huring han hangin (Uwa-hi-ye! Uwa-hi-ye!)

Amo ini an adlaw hit pagbalos
Pagbalos han higugma nga tim-os

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Scream from the darkness
Cry of the mountains
How many years of tribulation
This world will go through?

The miracle we've been looking for is gone.
Where is it now?
Even the wounds of the earth
Could no longer be found.

Look at the rays of the sun.
Now blocked of disgrace.
Feel the strength of the rain.
Listen to the whispers of the wind.

This is the day to respond.
To respond with love that is pure.

Volunteer for the Visayans, Inc., a non-profit and non-government organization founded by Troy Peden and Jason Coppage in 2004, was purposely established to assist grassroots community-based projects in the Philippines specifically in the Visayas. It aims to enpower a community, to inculcate the essence of volunteerism, and give hope to children who dream to have a better future but barely have the resources to realize them. In just three years, the organization has built several houses, visited a number of rural communities to provide free health services, and sent children to school. It has definitely gone a long way.

Sand in the ocean which made me see the beauty of tomorrow

Sand that is refined through the crush of the waves
Like a man that is strengthened from trials and faith.

Ito ang simula ng pagbabago ng mundo
Lahat ng tao merong maibabahagi sa iyo
Simulan, simulan!

Dito sa inaapakan ko magmumula ang pagbabago
Walang lupit ang kahirapan sa natatamasa ko
Simulan, simulan!

Ngayon ipakita ang kadakilaan
Sa’yo nakasalalay an ating bayan
Pilipino pinanganak kang dakila
Likas sa’yo and diwang maharlika

Dugong bayani isiwalat sa buong mundo
Dugong bayani damhin mo sa puso mo

Simulan!

It has been great for KulaHig people for the past few days/ weeks. The band may not be complete for now (Papuz is in Manila studying Photography, Cheman in Manila for a vacation but he'll be back soon), nontheless the band has achieved something for the past few days.

We have a new song. We never thought we could make it that fast to finish. This one for the record is the fastest song ever made by KulaHig. Must be the pressure. Hehehehe. Everyone's tired right now due to the events some members of the band are actively participating and their usual "raket mode". Fiesta's fast approaching, so we have to run for our lives. Hehehe. Anyway, going back to the new song. It's actually very related to what we're celebrating--June 12, Independence Day.

Basically the song connotes and promotes self-awareness to offer anything that we can do for the good of our country. That our current national state is not enough, we should not be contented of what we have in our table, but instead to make a move and make a difference. Even just a small difference. We annually celebrate Independence Day but nobody seems to care the relevance and importance of this momentous achievement our forefathers has shed their blood upon. Our country's still the same. Same negative attitude towards each other.

So the song was made. SIMULAN. The new beginning. The beginning of change. To start afresh. To remind ourselves that we are great people, the people of the early Philippines. Maharlika. We're born heroes who defend our territory. Filipinos who never say die. Filipinos who never let anybody trample on us. That poverty is not a hindrance to achieve our goal. But instead, poverty itself would be our motivating factor to eliminate poverty in this country.

Simulan. Ang tao ang s'yang tutulong sa sariling bayan.
